With fire season here it is more important than ever that you register your telephone numbers with Gilpin County’s Code Red Emergency Notification System so you can be notified if an emergency affects the area you live in.
To register, go to the county’s website at http://co.gilpin.co.us and click on the Residential Emergency Notification link. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can call Vicki Nemec at 303-582-5214 to register. There is also a Code Red mobile application for Droids and IPhones – check the website for more information on this mobile app. From the web page you can also click on the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Emergency Updates link and sign up to follow the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Updates on “Twitter” and the “Emergency Blog”.
