UPDATE ON DAKOTA HILL FIRE IN GILPIN COUNTY

06/27/13 @ 9:00 A.M. - Crews met for a briefing at 8: 15 this morning. The fire remains at 1/4 acre and Type 2 hand crew estimates they will have containment this afternoon. Helicopter operations may resume today but will be used for observation only. At present time all of forest service property within Gilpin County are on Stage 1 fire restrictions. The Dakota Hill Fire is on national forest service property and is being investigated by the forest service. Cause has not yet been determined.
